I'm excited to share with you today an incredible city that's like a hidden gem in Arizona.
The city is Maricopa, not to be confused with Maricopa county. If we look at a map it's a short drive to Phoenix about 30 minutes
My team and I have been helping many families buy homes here especially recently as it's one of the last few areas that has affordable houses. For those that work from home or don't mind making the drive Maricopa is a perfect solution. I know of a few builders here that have quicker move in houses. What that means is they are building brand new houses and they release them for sale when they are already at frame stage so when you reserve one they are already half way built and can close in 2 to 3 months on average.
This is great for those of you who want a brand new house but don't want to wait 10 months or longer. If this interests you at all reach out as we have a personal relationship with these builders and can help guide you. Remember any time you want to buy a brand new construction house you want to have a real estate agent represent you as the builder's sales agent represents the builder. There is a variety of neighborhoods here, some of them specialize in 55 and over as many people like retiring in Maricopa.
One of my favorite communities here is Rancho El Dorado it is a master planned community.
It's a gorgeous established neighborhood that has palm tree lined streets. When you pull into the community you feel like you are on vacation somewhere thanks to the beautiful landscaping and lakes, What's nice about this neighborhood is home builders have recently bought land there and are building brand new houses plus there are already existing houses there as well. One of my favorite things about the community is the lakes. And there are even some houses available right on the lake. That would be amazing to have a house on the lake. That’s definitely a dream of mine.
The neighborhood has great amenities for everyone. There's a basketball court, children's playgrounds. And for those who love golf there is an incredible golf course & clubhouse The Duke Golf Club is one of the big draws for the community. If you're into golf, another great place in Maricopa is Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club.
Honestly even if you are not into golf it's a beautiful place to go visit and enjoy a good meal at the restaurants view from the place is incredible.. I love seeing the beautiful greens with the mountains in the distance Another fun place to checkout nearby is, Harrah's Ak-Chin Hotel and Casino.
Whether you are into gambling or just enjoying a fun night out they have different fun events to enjoy there. My husband and I have been there a few times to enjoy some concerts great place for kids and adults is the Copper Sky Recreation Complex This place offers so much fun for everyone. Whether you’re into sports, fitness or recreation.
If you're into playing sports there are all kinds and great tennis courts. And for the hot new sport these days that my parents love there are racquetball courts. And they have some nice ones! There is even sand courts to play volleyball at. There's a great big community center that has a gym that has discounted rates for local residents or day rates for those that want to try out the gym. One of the most popular areas is the aquatics center. Having water nearby that can be swam or played in is very important in AZ.
This place has a waterslide, lap pool, large pool area with a kids area. And something the kids absolutely love is the splash pad. I could go on and on about all the fun you can have here instead I'll let you come check it out for yourself!
Last but not least on this list is Pacana Park.
I love this beautiful park it's 28 acres and has a HUGE 2 acre fishing pond. Which follows the AZ Game & Fishing Rules. Anyone over 9 has to have a license and there's a limit on how much you can catch.
The park is nice playgrounds which are covered. And if your family is into sports there are nice lighted basketball courts & baseball fields. And even some tennis courts!
But something new that I really like is the outdoor workout area. These are just a few of the fun things that you can do in Maricopa while either living here or visiting here.
